01-07-2018 Student's Summer Camp was successfully held in Patardzeuli
 In the frame works of the project ,, Learn and Practice Democracy'' Sharing European Experience in Interactive Teaching and Debates''
5 day long students summer camp was held in Patardzeuli training center.
In total 18 school students participated in the event, which was carried out by trainers from project partner organization DEMNET Hungary.
Youngsters who were selected during the debate competition semi-finals and finales, and as a result of the essay contests, had the opportunity to attended seminars delivered by v4 trainers on democracy and controversial issues, Participants had chance to experience many practical exercises and innovative techniques from Forum theatre methodology.
The camp facilitated the exchange of views and ideas between the young people it also promoted the establishment of friendship and space for the new youth initiatives.
The project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund and the Government of the Netherlands.

19-06-2018 Students debate competition finale!
In the frameworks of the ,,Learn and Practice Democracy'' Project, Students debate competition finale was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. 4 finalist debate-teams from Simerlo, Gori, Bolnisi and Surami participated in the competition. #12 public school of Gori won the victory and was handed the cup. In total more than 250 students and their teachers were involved in the debate competitions. The Project is financed by the International Visegrad fund and co-supported by the Government of the Netherlands.   more

28-05-2018 Lectures at schools in controversial issues
 In the frameworks of the project ,,Teach and Learn Democracy – Sharing European Experience in Interactive Teaching and Debates’’ lectures in target 12 schools were held , The aim of the lessons were to improve students critical thinking skills and facilitate development of high civic participation level by discussing pre-elaborated controversial issues such as: Migration, Disability rights, Bullying at schools, Death penalty as a high form of conviction, Social networks and their impact, Children rights, Georgia’s European integration, Atomic energy threats and advantages, e.tc
The lectures were based on the guidelines provided by the Polish expert during the training for teachers in democratic competences and teaching controversial issues. I total up to 500 school students attended the seminars on controversial issues at target schools.

30-04-2018 Students Debate Competition Semi-finals held
In the frameworks of the ,,Learn and Practice Democracy'' Project, First round of the Students debate competitions was held in target schools. In total up to 200 school students along with their teachers attended and participated in the events, 12 Debate teams debated on pre-defined 6 actual topics, Which were exercised by the help of project involved teachers who were trained in Debate methodology by the project partner Agora CE earlier on, and with the assistance of the local experts having delivered consultation sessions in all target schools prior to the competitions. As a result of the semi-finals 4 finalist schools were revealed. Debate competition final will be held in several months. Project is financed by the International Visegrad fund and co-supported by the Government of the Netherlands. more

30-03-2018 Debate competition consultancy meetings
In  the frame works of the project ,,Learn and Practice Democracy'' Sharing European Experience in Interactive Teaching and Debate'' Consultancy meetings in target schools were organized. Debate trainers visited each school and gave instructions and recommendations to the students and teachers for smooth and successful conduction of debate competitions afterwards. During the consultancy workshops participants simulated debate competitions so that they could clearly understand its specifics and rules.
Participants schools and debate clubs are going to get topics which they will prepare for debate competitions.

05-03-2018 Teachers workshop in debate methodology
 In the frameworks of the project Learn and Practice Democracy- Sharing European Experience in Interactive Teaching and Debates’’ next seminar for teachers in debate methodology was held. The seminar was delivered by the partner Organization Agora Central Europe. The participants gained theoretical knowledge on the importance of the debates and information sources, Teachers also improved practical skills in organizing debate contests. According to the project teachers should establish students debate clubs in their schools and prepare them for the debate competitions afterwards. The project is financed by the International Visegrad Fund and supported by the Government of the Netherlands. more
