30-04-2018 Students Debate Competition Semi-finals held
In the frameworks of the ,,Learn and Practice Democracy'' Project, First round of the Students debate competitions was held in target schools. In total up to 200 school students along with their teachers attended and participated in the events, 12 Debate teams debated on pre-defined 6 actual topics, Which were exercised by the help of project involved teachers who were trained in Debate methodology by the project partner Agora CE earlier on, and with the assistance of the local experts having delivered consultation sessions in all target schools prior to the competitions. As a result of the semi-finals 4 finalist schools were revealed. Debate competition final will be held in several months. Project is financed by the International Visegrad fund and co-supported by the Government of the Netherlands. more

30-03-2018 Debate competition consultancy meetings
In  the frame works of the project ,,Learn and Practice Democracy'' Sharing European Experience in Interactive Teaching and Debate'' Consultancy meetings in target schools were organized. Debate trainers visited each school and gave instructions and recommendations to the students and teachers for smooth and successful conduction of debate competitions afterwards. During the consultancy workshops participants simulated debate competitions so that they could clearly understand its specifics and rules.
Participants schools and debate clubs are going to get topics which they will prepare for debate competitions.

05-03-2018 Teachers workshop in debate methodology
 In the frameworks of the project Learn and Practice Democracy- Sharing European Experience in Interactive Teaching and Debates’’ next seminar for teachers in debate methodology was held. The seminar was delivered by the partner Organization Agora Central Europe. The participants gained theoretical knowledge on the importance of the debates and information sources, Teachers also improved practical skills in organizing debate contests. According to the project teachers should establish students debate clubs in their schools and prepare them for the debate competitions afterwards. The project is financed by the International Visegrad Fund and supported by the Government of the Netherlands. more

12-02-2018 Teachers Training in Formation Competences for Democratic Culture
Within the project ,, Learn and Practice Democracy-Sharing European Experience in Interactive Teaching and Debates'' Training for public school teachers in formation competences for Democratic Culture was held. The training was delivered by polish partner organization Edukator. During the training the goals and objectives of the international documents on education for democratic citizenship and human rights education in particular Council of Europe Charter on education for democratic citizenship and human rights education, CM/Rec(2010)7. was introduced.
Teachers were presented to the competences for democratic culture, (CDC) and learned the opportunities for their development.
Participants also gained the experience in using interactive methods in working process that aims to develop of competences for democratic culture and teaching controversial issues. During the trainings teachers elaborated lesson plans which will be conducted by them in each target school.  The following training for teachers in Debate Methodology will be held by Czech partner organization Agora CE. The project is financed by the International Visegrad Fund and is co-financed by the Government of the Netherlands.

08-02-2018 Working meeting with the International Visegrad Fund representative
 Working meeting within the project ,, Learn and Practice Democracy-Sharing European Experience in Interactive teaching and debates was held at Civitas Georgica’s Office. The representative of the International Visegrad Fund, Advisor Ms. Irena Krasnicka was hosted by the organization members. The guest talked about the mission of the fund and it’s approaches toward the eastern partnership countries. The vision and main working areas of the International Association Civitas Georgica were presented to the Visegrad Fund representative. The meeting was also attended by the project partner Polish NGO Edukator representative Ms. Marzena Rafalska who touched upon he imporatnce of the partners role in the project. Project administration and management issues were also discussed during the meeting. more

06-02-2018 Meeting with public school teachers and directors
In the frameworks of the project ,, Learn and Practice Democracy-Sharing European Experience in Interactive teaching and debates’’ meetings with school teachers in Kvemo and Shida Kartli regions were held. Meetings were attended by school directors and teachers who were introduced to the project and its goals. The meetings aimed to spread information about the project and get feedback for the selection of the participants. The project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund and is co-financed by the Government of the Netherlands.   more

05-02-2018 Teachers Training in Competences for Democratic Culture and Teaching Controversial Issues
 The first core activity of the project .. Learn and Practice Democracy- Sharing European Experience in Interactive teaching and Debates’’ will take place on February 9-10 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Training for Teachers in competences for democratic culture and teaching controversial issues will be held by International Association Civitas Georgica and Its partner Polish NGO Edukator. 2 day long workshops will gain teachers competences and skills that are needed to facilitate healthy and democratic class-room ,,climate ‘’ .
The project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund and is co-financed by the Government of the Netherlands . The project is being implemented in cooperation with Czech, Hungarian and Polish partner organizations.
